The I-Side-With Quiz

Where My Allegiances Lie

It appears I agree with Libertarian Party on over 62% of issues, and with Republicans on a much smaller majority of issues, 54%. That's according to this quiz: http://www.isidewith.com/. Don't leave, please keep reading, you may find a mix of stances you agree with and stances you disagree with. In fact, take the quiz they have there to find out what political party you are at heart.

How Do I feel about....

Stem Cell Research?

  • I say leave funding research and funding to the scientists who actually know what the hell they're doing and keep government not involved
  • Libertarians say exactly as I do

Evolution?

  • As a Deist and a future Herpetologist, I say that the idea that modern species evolved from prehistoric ones is an empirical fact supported by all of modern science

Space Exploration?

  • I say America should increase Space Exploration efforts and budget
  • Republicans say the same thing I do

Immigration Offspring?

  • I say children of immigrants (and immigrants themselves) should be given citizenship
  • Libertarian Party only agrees with me on immigrant offspring that were born in the US

Immigration Healthcare?

  • I say Immigrants should be given access to doctor-sponsored healthcare instead of politician-sponsored healthcare (as if the latter is of any use to anyone)
  • Libertarian Party says no to giving immigrants government healthcare but has no stance on giving immigrants legit healthcare.

Immigrant Laborers?

  • I say that the majority of immigrants who want to share our jobs and freedoms should be allowed permanent citizenship
  • Libertarian Party says exactly what I do

Illegal Immigrant Detainment?

  • I say deport immigrants who have proven themselves through violent crime to be a threat to our freedom

Social Security?

  • I say privatize the current system by having young workers contribute a quarter of their payment of the 8% flat tax that should exist (yup, this issue made me change my taxation beliefs) to a private investment account
  • Republican Party says completely dismantle Social Security (forget about it, R.P.)
  • Libertarian Party says reform Social Security through price growth instead of wage growth (how is this going to work?)

Obama's Stimulus?

  • I am against any kind of governmental stimulus; I don't care if its Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan or either of the best-ever US Presidents (Teddy Roosevelt or Woodrow Wilson) passing it, I prefer business-led recovery
  • Libertarian Party is with me on this
  • Republican Party says just plain "no", with real explanation

Taxes?

  • I call for abandonment of the current system for a flat tax system where everyone pays 8%: 2% for local gov't, 2% for state gov't, 2% for the feds and the fourth 2% be for a personal investment account
  • Republican Party says to re-instate the Bush Tax Cuts
  • Libertarian Party says to abolish IRS and pass the Fair Tax Act

Farm Subsidies?

  • I say farmers should be allowed to prosper without government help
  • Republican Party and Libertarian Party can agree with me on this matter

Minimum Wage?

  • I say completely replace Minimum Wages with a law that lets employers pay employees whatever size paycheck they see fit as long as stronger work ethics are earning bigger paychecks.
  • Libertarian Party agrees with me on getting rid of Minimum Wage but offers no alternative anti-fraud measure like I offer
  • Republican Party says have a minimum wage but do not constantly raise it

Government Deficit?

  • I say cut government spending by 60%
  • Libertarian Party says exactly as I do
  • Republican Party says no to raising the debt ceiling, and no to doing anything about it

Currency Regulation?

  • I say that instead of bailing out major banks in 2008, America's Federal Government should have repealed all Legal Tender Laws and signed into law a Constitutional Amendment guarding "Freedom of Currency", allowing Americans to use Dollars, Euros, Yen, Emerald, Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, Garnets or whatever similar valuables they want as currency.

Welfare and Work?

  • I say able-bodied, mentally capable adults should be required to have an earned income (i.e. salary & wages [i.e. stocking shelves], ad revenue shares [i.e. YouTube money], commerce profits [i.e. selling lemonade], etc.) in order to receive welfare.

Corporate Income Tax?

  • I say abolish corporate income tax, ad revenue share tax, dividend tax, interest tax, online sales tax, and any other income taxes that are not of offline salary & wages.
  • Libertarian Party feels exactly as I do
  • Republican Party says reduce Corporate Income Tax

Pension Programs?

  • I say Pension plans should be made entirely by the Senior Citizens who are entitled to them and not by government

Wall Street?

  • I say that if Wall Street people are jailed then our finances will collapse and paying debts to other countries will be more difficult than at present

Foreign Intervention?

  • I say every Liberal Democracy on Earth, America included, should all be liberating oppressed people all over the world as a TEAM, with US, UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia being the leaders and all others being the followers
  • Republican Party says that US should use preemptive war (something I personally despise) to quell potential threats to it.

Afghanistan?

  • We should replace most US soldiers in Afghanistan with a strong diplomatic presence.

Israel?

  • Every Liberal Democracy on Earth, including the US, should support Israel
  • Republican Party says that US should support Israel

Iran?

  • I say overthrow the current government and replace it with a Culturally Liberal, Free-trading, economically Laissez-Faire Minarchy (minarchy, for those who don't know, means "tiny government"), and punish the regime members for their crimes.
  • Republican Party says eliminate their nuking abilities with strategy & tactics

Sudan?

  • I say overthrow the current government and replace it with a Culturally Liberal, Free-trading, economically Laissez-Faire Minarchy, and see to it Omar al-Bashir and his fellow parasites in the Sudan regime are trialed and executed for their countless atrocious crimes, never to be mourned!!!
  • Republican Party says replace the current government with a Democracy (okay, what kind of democracy? And what about the disturbing worms that make up the regime? Especially Al-Bashir?)

Cuba?

  • I say end the embargo on Cuba after replacing its current government with Culturally Liberal, Free-trading, economically Laissez-Faire Minarchy and let Americans travel there and open Free Trade with Cuba
  • Libertarian Party says open Trade with Cuba right from the start

United Nations?

  • I say keep US and all other Liberal Democracies in the UN, and kick out all Third World crap-holes
  • Libertarian Party agrees with the first part of the above statement

Terrorism?

  • I say terrorism suspects should be given due process and not subjected to torture. If proven with forensic science to be guilty of an ultra-violent act of terrorism, then the proven terrorist should be executed by quick and painless means

Military Spending?

  • I say Government spending should be cut by 60%, and the Libertarian Party agrees with me on this

Drones?

  • I say get rid of drones, because no auto-piloted robot is qualified to defend human liberty, only human soldiers of Liberal Democracies have this qualification.

Egypt?

  • I say don't side with either side of the conflict, because Egyptian government wants to restore brutal tyranny and Muslim Brotherhood sponsored the Boston Bombing, so why the hell should either entity get our support?

Syria (not on the i-side-with quiz)?

  • I say overthrow the current government and replace it with a Culturally Liberal, Free-trading, economically Laissez-Faire Minarchy, and see to it that the vile Bashar Assad and all of the Ba'ath Party is permanently disbanded for their amazingly horrendous human rights violations all over the Sahara and Middle East.

NSA Surveillance?

  • I say no to spying on allies, because spying on our allies is the absolute most retarded and crappy thing any Liberal Democracy can do!

Euthanasia?

  • I say only let people euthanize themselves if they have zero chance of recovery from their cancer or other disease.
  • Libertarian Party says let the states decide (what kind of "libertarianism" is that, LP?)

Abortion?

  • I am very strongly pro-choice
  • Libertarian Party is pro-choice in the sense that they don't agree with it but also don't agree with banning it.

Gay Marriage?

  • I say not only permit gay marriage in all states, but sign into law a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage as being between two or more consenting adults (i.e. legalize consensual polygamy for both genders), and keep it non-governmental and let the wedded decide whether to do a secular or religious marriage

Government Mandates?

  • Birth control should be included in health insurance.

The Death Penalty?

  • This should be reserved for the most atrocious crimes, and even then the suspect needs to be proven guilty via forensic science

Stop And Frisk Policy?

  • I absolutely will not let police-people stop and frisk me, nor should they be legally allowed to! In fact, the only humans I will voluntarily allow to frisk me are dark-haired, slim-bodied young women, especially ones who are taller and older than me!
  • The Libertarian Party agrees with me on the first sentence!

The First Amendment?

  • As a Deist, I demand for the US Government to restore George Washington's brand of secularism to the public sphere (the neutral kind that does not play favorites with religious or with non-religious)

The Patriot Act?

  • Both myself and the Libertarian Party say there should be no government surveillance of US citizens

Education Funding?

  • Both myself and the Libertarian Party say that government should not involve itself in education, instead faculty should have maximum freedom of creativity and of information

Affirmative Action?

  • I say these things invalidate themselves by refusing to treat whites and males like human beings and by being a pile of economic regulations with nothing to do with fraud, theft, or coercion.

Gun Control?

  • I say the only people that should not have any access to any weapons from any age of civilization are those with severe personality disorders and convicted felons.

Drug Policy?

  • Libertarian Party and I both say legalize all recreational drugs and call off the drug war

Internet?

  • I say government and businesses should target actual copyright thieves instead of targeting perfectly-legal Fair Use and First Sale rights users within the under-law scope of Internet Culture, my favorite of any culture in real life.

Campaign Finance?

  • I believe everyone, including business owners, have a right to decide whether to promote their preferred candidates and how to promote them; this includes letting them finance politician campaigns

Stadium Funding?

  • Taxpayer dollars should not be used for the building of fields where all anyone does is kick a ball to someone who has to bring it back to its kick-point. Spend it on something useful like emergency services!

Term Limits?

  • I say Congress-people should be given term limits so they can't do what they are doing to our country at present!

Gerrymandering?

  • I say let independent, non-politician cartographers draw the congressional districts.

Military Sexual Assault?

  • I say the military rapists, of either gender, should receive the same harsh punishments but after being trialed by a non-governmental prosecutor.

Global Warming?

  • I don't care whether it exists or not, I still say private sectors should voluntarily invest in clean energy formulations that we can actually accidentally inhale without getting cancer.
  • Libertarian Party agrees with me on the above sentencing.

Oil Drilling?

  • We should replace oil with clean energy that does not kill marine animals. Because My concern as a future Herpetologist is "What life will Marine Biologists be able to study if oil is continually drilled?"

National Parks?

  • National Park owners should be keeping their parks clean without government help. In fact, don't involve government in national parks.

Alternative Energy?

  • Clean Energy providers should be profiting, prospering, and dominating the energy industry without government help (i.e. no tax credits and no subsidies)

Genetically Modified Organism labels?

  • This labeling should be voluntarily; in fact; we have been consuming organic food without knowing the difference for thousands of years, and it's only different now because of Big Government idiots.

Medicare & Medicaid?

  • I say senior citizens should take full responsibility for their Medicaid entitlement and leave government out of it.
  • Republican Party says dismantle it.

Obama-care?

  • I don't support government dominating the medical business like under Obama-care. I support a medical business where all citizens have health insurance without any government involvement.

Medical Marijuana?

  • Like the Libertarian Party, I also believe in legalizing medical marijuana.

What this means

It means that I am irrevocably a Middle-ground person who want all countries, including US, to be electoral lands of ultra-tiny government. I have some areas I disagree with both parties on, but in general my views are closer to Libertarian Party than to any party in the country. It also means I want the Democrats to STOP E-MAILING ME!!!! I AM NOT IN THE DEMOCRATS ANYMORE, NEVER WANTED TO BE!!!

Who would I vote for?

The Trouble of Voting (for me, anyway)

The trouble of voting for me is that absolutely no one is a politician I can refer to as "like-minded". When my town had its local elections, none of the politicians were open at all about their political beliefs, only about their political parties.

Why is it that I can never find any 21st-century versions of Teddy Roosevelt or of Woodrow Wilson among today's politicians? Why can I never find a single political party in any country on Earth who is Culturally Liberal, Secular, pro-Comprehensive Sex Ed, anti-War-on-Drugs, anti-Legal-Tender Laws, anti-censorship, anti-obscenity-laws, pro-tiny-government, pro-multiparty-system, anti-bigotry, anti-anarchy, appreciative of same-sex marriage, appreciative of a woman's right to abort, pro-Laissez-Faire-economics, pro-Free Trade, pro-very-low-flat-tax, anti-progressive-tax, anti-redistribution-of-wealth, pro-business, pro-charity, pro-public ed, pro-public healthcare, supportive of keeping government out of public health & ed, anti-Legal-Tender-Laws, supportive of letting managers give bigger checks to workers of stronger work ethic and higher education, hostile to Minimum Wage (the opposite of work-ethic-based-pay), tough on actual crimes like rape & murder & theft, pro-Israel, pro-NATO, pro-ISAF, pro-every-Liberal-Democracy-on-Earth, anti-every-Third-World-Dictator-on-Earth, pro-Wilsonian, pro-Liberal-Internationalist, and pro-War-on-Terror all in one? Because voting is not for idealistic optimists like myself. Instead I have to do heavy research on candidates from various parties, figure out which of their policies I love and which ones I hate, then vote for the ones who have the most political common ground with me.

Who I would vote for among the Grand Five

What a run-on sentence I did up there! But now that we have cleared my feelings toward voting, let's get to who I would vote for among my favorite countries on Earth.

In my country (the US) today, I would vote for:

  1. The Libertarian Party
    1. these guys know exactly how to run a country with regards to domestic problems like environment, economy, society, crime and so forth. However, Foreign Policy is where they flunk out big-time, in which case I would go for my number 2 choice.
  2. The Liberal faction of the Republican Party
    1. Liberal Republicans do exist, they are culturally liberal, supportive of Free Enterprise, and they are generally and historically Wilsonian in foreign policy.
    2. These people are also known as "Moderate Republicans" and "Rockefeller Republicans"
    3. I cannot stand Conservative Republicans and I especially cannot stand the childish clowns of the Tea Party movement!

Things to clarify about the rest of parties:

  • The Democrats have repeatedly lied to me about their political "diversity" and their intentions, continuing to be the party of misandry, anti-white racism, progressive tax, over-regulation of economy, defeat by Third World Tyrants, and surrender to them. I refuse to ever identify as a Democrat ever again. I am not registered to them anymore, and I am registered Independent currently but in the future I will register as a Libertarian.
  • The Greens and other third parties are more based on rhetoric than reason, drawing me away from them.

In the United Kingdom today, I would vote for:

  1. Libertarian Party UK
    1. These guys are similar to the US Libertarian Party. Enough said.
  2. Tory Party UK
    1. These guys are, behaviorally, what the Republican Party in my country used to be before the disasters of the 20th Century. How they should have stayed, one could say
      1. The Tories had Winston Churchill, Britain's deadliest asset against Hitler, and Tony Blair, the British bane of Saddam, as Presidents of Britain.
      2. Even David Cameron presents himself to me as Wilsonian in foreign policy, whether he knows he comes off to me that way or not.
      3. The Tories permit large volumes of Secularists and Evolutionists like me to exist and to have a voice in politics, and that's personal to me because I am a Deist and an Evolutionist. And a future Biologist.

In Canada today, I would vote for:

  1. Canadian Libertarian Party
    1. I know most of you think I am just worshiping minor parties at this point, but these guys are my actual #1 choice for parties in Canada.
  2. Canadian Conservative Party
    1. Truth be told, the only thing I like about this party is its foreign policy, for example, I find their unwillingness to pass or even debate laws on abortion to be rather lazy.

In Australia today, I would vote for:

  1. Liberal Party
    1. "Liberal" in Australia means a person who loves economic freedom more than he or she loves social freedom but still loves social freedom.
    2. This political party manages to have a history and track-record of promoting human rights abroad and opposing Communism and other hateful, barbaric ideals.
The Liberal Party is the party I would vote cross-the-ballot for, unlike in the above countries, I would not split the ticket, but I don't live in Australia so why should I care, right? Wrong, I care about expressing with full honesty who I would vote for if I lived in other countries.

In New Zealand today, I would vote for:

  1. ACT Party
    1. These guys are a smaller Center-Right party than the Nationals, however they come off to me as the better-behaved party. This is due to the fact that ACT supports Laissez-Faire economy as opposed to the Welfare-capitalism of the Nationals, they are far more Culturally Liberal than the Nationals, and they are equally as hawkish against Third World Dictators and genocidal guerrilla groups.

Why all Center-right parties?

Because....
  1. People on the Far Left and Far Right are morally identical to me, from the Soviets of the Far Left to the Nazis of the Far Right.
  2. Center-Left parties tend to be the ones of... everything I associated the US Democrats with, really. The Center-left parties of the world only offer realpolitik and political pessimism
  3. Center-Right parties tend to be the modern Wilsonian Internationalists, relying on Wilson's now 93-year-old brand of idealism and on every brand available of political OPTIMISM, especially in the face of aggressive, genocidal tyrants like Bashar Assad of Syria and that cancerous plague known as Kim Jong-un of North Korea.

My Voting patterns (a conclusion)

I avoid extremes from both wings, but I resent Liberals more than I resent Conservatives, but I still resent Conservatives. For example, if a Conservative thinks he is incapable of error but legislates Abstinence-only programming, I officially hate that person with the optimistic back-up of "at least he knows economics and diplomacy, and at least he only stands by minor sexual freedom abuses like misrepresenting the human body to students". But if a Liberal claimed to embody perfection then legislated Abstinence Only, I would hold an ardent grudge against him, knowing he would let far worse sexual freedom abuses slide if they were conducted by Third World sadomasochists (i.e. requiring men to sexually assault & murder women who show any more than just hands and faces in public, as the Islamic Theocracies always do)

The Grand Five

The Five Best Countries on Earth

I, for the most part, do not play favorites with any of these five countries, but these five are my favorite of any country on Earth. The five of them are, in no particular order: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The rest of the world's countries have a lot to learn before I can stop playing favorites with these five.

Why these five countries?

There are plenty of reasons I declare these countries to be my favorites in the world. Let me break them down into subcategories:

Domestic Governance

  1. All five of these countries treat their people so well as to deserve a "best of the best" label as of Freedom in the World, meaning they all score the lowest numeric score on the scale from 1 to 7
  2. All five of these countries are so respectful to media-makers they disagree with that they have earned Freedom of the Press report scores of 21 or lower (and one needs 30 or lower to count as Free media)
  3. Australia and New Zealand treat businesses with so much respect as to get an Index of Economic Freedom score of "Free". The other three have behaved as to deserve scores of "Mostly free".
  4. All five of these countries have free enough economies to be well within the top 35 richest countries on Earth
  5. Even though every country on Earth leans a certain amount towards either misogyny or misandry (sexism against men), and even though these five countries have certain anti-male elements to them, all five are still among the closest countries on Earth to true gender equality
  6. In the Failed States Index from Foreign Policy Magazine, United States and United Kingdom are among the most stable of all "Stable"-category countries, while the other three are within the "Sustainable" category (the latter being the better category to be in)
  7. All five have gone throughout history without reverting to actual Third-World Tyranny.

Historic Support for Freedom

  1. All five of these countries sided against the Nazis, Mussolini, and Tojo during the Second World War, and destroyed all three regimes
  2. All five of these countries sided against the vile tyrannies of Marxism during the Cold War, from the Berlin Blockade to the Chinese Civil War to the Korean War and therefore these five are the reason South Korea, Taiwan, and the Eastern European countries are warmly welcoming Free Countries.
  3. All five of these countries, with the help of 46 allies via International Security Assistance Force, have done such heroics in Afghanistan as annihilating the Taliban regime, destroying Al-Qaeda camps, killing Osama Bin Laden, and restoring the daily lives of 5,700,000 refugees who, thanks primarily to these five, are no longer refugees
  4. Four of these five countries participated in the overthrow of the vile, horrid, heartless, savage, barbaric Saddam regime of Iraq. Canada supported the overthrow without participating.

Current Support for Freedom

  1. Currently, in the War on Islamic Theocracy, three of these five countries are participating through N.A.T.O. while Australia and New Zealand are participating independently.
  2. With regards to Israel, the only Free Country in the Middle East, all five are staunchly pro-Israel:
    1. UK-Israel relations
    2. US-Israel
    3. Canada-Israel
    4. Australia-Israel
    5. New Zealand-Israel
    6. Best of all, all five ignore the morally sick voices of the anti-Israel majorities and only listen to the pro-Israel peoples; but unfortunately UK, Canada and Australia have had temporary negative tensions with Israel...
  3. With regards to the Orient, all Five are staunchly supportive of Japan and South Korea against North Korea!
  4. Concerning the abhorred atrocity Omar al-Bashir of Sudan, all five of these countries are well aware of the unnecessary, unnatural mistake he has proven himself to be, unlike several other countries that refuse to recognize his barbarity.

The short summary

Having backed my claim with nothing but facts (if you find Wikipedia unreliable, just go to the citation notes and read the external-linked articles they reference), I can appropriately assert that these five countries; United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand; are the only five "legit countries" on Planet Earth!

What Religion or brand of Secularism am I?

I am Secular and not religious

I have yet to see a religion based on scientific, historic, and political facts instead of being based on superstitious idiocies. Some are less dumb than others, for example: Islam's idea of a god making life out of water makes more sense than Christianity's idea of a god making life out of dust, but only due to the fact that the human body has a predominant water ratio.

Scientists estimate how much water is in the human body all over the place

Plus, every religion it seems has norms I want blown off the planet like creationism and abstinence-only mindset.

I prefer Irreligion (that word does exist)

What Nonreligious ideology am I?

I am a Deist, neither Agnostic nor Atheist

The differences:

What this means for theological matters:

I am not strongly deist, but rather I am that moderate kind that only suspects the Big Bang to have been a result of a non-personal god. I used to be a very not-well-known thing called Ignostic, the belief that all non-Ignostic theological positions assume too much, but on 12/21/2013 at 2:30 am, I did the research to the point of converting to Secular Deism at about 2:45. Then I slumbered at 3:00. My deistic belief is that in 13,000,000,000 BC, a goddess was fusing together what's called Dark Matter, then it exploded in the Big Bang, resulting in the incinerating death of her, and at the same time the birth of this universe. That's right, I believe in a non-personal Goddess rather than a non-personal God. I chose this line of thinking for more reasons than make the most misogynistic of religious folk lose their minds, there are a roster of reasons actually:
  • George Washington, founder of America and therefore inventor of State sponsored Freedom, was a deist
  • Adam Smith, inventor of the beautiful and very MILDLY flawed economic of Capitalism, was also a deist
  • Digital Age Deists tend to be Libertarians like me. David Draiman, the lead singer of my favorite music group ever (Disturbed) is a prime example: Adheres to the secular ideology of Deism and identifies politically as Libertarian. Plus, because he is ethnic Jewish and also has family in Israel, he is likely to oppose the Jihad especially since the conductors of the Jihad are the largest-scale Holocaust deniers on Earth (that WW2 crime almost killed all of his mother's half of his family)
  • At least 20% of the world's 3,150,000 Biologists are Deists, that means that 630,000 or more of the 3,150,000 people who have devoted their lives to studying life believe in a non-personal deity!! This matters because I am going to major in General Biology once I go to a University.
  • Deism, or at least Modern Deism, uses science to explain what happened after the deity-made Big Bang, including the use of evolution to explain how modern species are so wildly different from prehistoric ones.
  • The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and my good old America's First Amendment permit me to agree with whatever theological ideal I want to agree with, even if it is a secular one that happens to propose the idea of a non-personal deity...
  • Our argument is the most amusing of any secular belief: we believe that a non-personal god made the universe in year 13,000,000,000 BC then left it to emerge as it did into what it is now according to science. Science is fully compatible with this argument, however proving us right is, like proving us wrong, also impossible, so we could be onto something...
  • Atheists tend to give into Left-Wing bull-crap almost all of the time. Excellent writer Christopher Hitchens and flawless comedian Matt Stone are the absolute ONLY atheists I can name supportive of Wilsonian Hawkishness or of REAL capitalism.
  • Atheists tend to care more about their non-religion than about the immediate matters to be dealt with first, whereas Deists focus on the good and tend to lean towards third parties and shy away from extremes, especially political extremes.

My Theological Change & Conclusion?

It is true that I believe in a deity that died for our universe to be born! I am impressed with what my fellow Deists have accomplished throughout human history, so much so that I cannot think of a better way to repay them than to joining their demographic! And guess what? I might be Irish forever, but I have changed to Deist at almost 3 in the morning of a December 2013 day! Because ethnicity cannot be changed, but theological ideology choice can be. For example, and final sentence here, an Arab Muslim is Arab forever but can change herself to a Deist overnight!

Left or Right - what am I?

First Off---

Welcome to "Ideo-Base", my writings on politics, religions, and secular ideologies; of which the 1-word term for the third is "Irreligions" (singular "Irreligion"). Here, I will discuss philosophies, what I think, and the facts behind them and their results. This blog is so high-maturity that only those 15 or older should have access to it. I will link to external articles for people who don't know a certain word.

What Am I Politically?

I am a right-leaning mix of left and right, not purely either

Argument to Moderation

In essence, I agree with the left on most social policy elements, and I will give examples of political issues later. But as for economics and diplomacy, I say the rightist analysis is just about correct.

I am a Libertarian, not a Conservative

Libertarian Politics

In political aspects, I would definitely identify as a Cultural Liberal, a Minarchist, and a Laissez-Faire Capitalist, and a supporter of multiparty election systems. However, in Foreign Policy, I proudly adopt the hawkish Moderate Conservative mindset (Liberal Internationalism and Wilsonian thought).

The evidence that I am this kind of person:

  1. I took the "World's smallest Political Quiz" and my results are 80% on the Social Scale and 100% on the Economic Scale, putting me in the Right-leaning half of the Libertarian block.
    1. Separate Scales?
      1.  Because the standard left-right compass is severely misleading. Instead, what you need to properly analyze yourself is a 2-dimentional compass: left-right scale and up-down scale, on what is essentially a square-chart.
  2. I took the "Political Compass Organization" test of 60 questions and I came out (rounding fractions up) to being 4 blocks to the right and 5 to the bottom, putting me in the purple quadrant (the Libertarian-Right spot, or Liberal-Right if you want to use a smaller word)
  3. Select Smart's "Foreign Policy Philosophy Quiz" is the only foreign policy quiz I can find on the net. My number 1 result was "Liberal" as in "Liberal Internationalist", and its number 1 example of like-minded politicians was Woodrow Wilson, the least flawed of any US President (because every politician on Earth is flawed).
  4. Bent on proving how non-extreme I am and how I am more Libertarian and less Conservative than this blog's inspiration (Mark Humphry of Dublin Ireland) is, I took the "Libertarian Purity Test" from the purist, "Anarcho-Capitalist" (or simply anarchist) Bryan Caplan, and my score was/is an 84, which is well within the "Medium-core Libertarian" range, which varies from 51 to 90, on a total scale from 0 to 160. Humphrys on the other hand, he scored a 33, putting him in the "soft-core" range, which varies between 16-50 (though Caplan separates this into two ranges, 16-30 and 31-50, the latter meaning "credentials are obvious").

 I am a "Neo"-Libertarian, not a "Paleo"-Libertarian

Paleolibertarian thought

Doctrinaire Libertarians, like most of America's Libertarian Party, tend to be the same but culturally liberal instead of culturally conservative.

Neolibertarians like me are remorselessly hawkish in the face of aggressions from Third World Dictators. Scholar, blogger, and former soldier Dale Franks invented the ideology, with simple tenets specific to his brand of it. The "What Ideology are you?" quiz I took repeatedly and always my number 1 result was "Neolibertarianism".

I first learned the word from the "What Type of Libertarian Are You" quiz on the same website, and it gave elaborate description and examples. The examples of like-minded Americans, apparently (and in my words & fraction-related speculations), are:
  • The Republican Party's Liberal faction
  • a large minority of Republican Liberty Caucus
  • a large minority of the Libertarian Party (myself and my favorite comedians ever [Trey Parker and Matt Stone] included)
  • the slight majority of Registered Independents.

American Examples of why I am Neo-libertarian

My DEVOUT Hatred of Censorship & any so-called "human beings" who support it for any reason at all

Whether it is the 2257 obscenity laws that should not exist because they make creative films and shows and songs seem boring, the vile MP-AA's attempt at exterminating the internet via the so-called "Stop Online Piracy Act", their Plan B attempted through the "Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agreement", YouTube's recent disgusting "Content ID" system, Bill Clinton's legislation of Abstinence-only programs, Bush and Obama BOTH being useless by refusing to repeal them, the teaching of creationism in schools, Clinton criminalizing contraception for unmarried lovers, US Congress forcing anti-rock-music norms onto Americans in the 1950's and 1960's who knew and could prove they did not belong in a Liberal Democracy, or Woodrow Wilson's absolute only flaw of limiting WW1-related talk to just complimentary talk, Censorship should be made a felony via the First Amendment, because ANY form of censorship is overtly Unconstitutional!!! Granted, American media is not fully censored. In fact, America is one of the freest countries in the world for media. Freedom House, the only valid source for social policy legislation around the world, has a yearly report on media freedom around the world. Their scale is between 0 and 100, with 0 being the freest media. America's rating is 18, which means that I live in a country with vigorously free media. So I guess my complaint is that US government behavior warranting the 18 rating is unlawful and that for government to behave in ways that earn my country a rating of 0 would be the only lawful government behavior. The report here.

The post-Wilson presidents (yes, even FDR, Reagan, Clinton, Bush, and Obama) causing economic downturn

Ah, the broken economy of America. Well, actually, here is the break-down. The good news is that America has what's called a "Mostly Free" economy. Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom, my preferred source of info on how economies do globally, rates America a 76 out of 100. Unlike Freedom House's reports, the higher an I.E.F. score, the better! 80-100 means Free and 70-79.9 means "mostly free". I and other Americans can freely buy and sell things quite happily, without too many barriers commonly associated with Marxist economies.
The bad news is that our economy is not a Laissez-Faire one, one where only a small number of regulations exist and even then only to protect against fraud, theft, and coercion; one where tariffs, protectionism, handouts and subsidies do not exist. If anything, there are at least a hundred economic regulations, almost none of which have to do with defending people from fraud and coercion or defending property from theft. And what's worse, the progressive tax is the most broken thing you'll find in our economy. People here are taxed differently for earning more income. This is unconstitutional as of the 5th and 14th Amendments and (almost) always punishes stronger work ethics and higher educations (it should be a flat tax where everyone pays 3% locally, 3% federally, and 3% on state level, that way everyone has 91% of their wealth for themselves). What's also bad, Minimum wage laws force everybody to choose between overpricing everything and hiring extremely few people (US government would rather do the above than let employers give bigger paychecks to those who prove stronger work ethics and pursue higher educations). And, to me, the most vile non-tax-related regulation our economy has is the "Legal Tender" laws, as implied directly on the US dollar bill. All these laws do is make it illegal to use anything other than dollars as currency. The ultimate prosperity will be done by an economy that lets people use whatever valuable rarities they want as currency: be it American Dollars, British Shillings, Israeli Shekels, Japanese Yen, Arabic Dinar, European Euros, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Garnet, Gold, Silver, Copper, or even Magnesium; which is a pale gray, lighter-weight but more durable metal than stainless steel.

And speaking of vital public services like Public Education and Public Healthcare, I agree with having them exist, but I do not agree with allowing politicians' ideological biases to force their employee populations to teach or heal in any specific ways. I support letting teachers educate with maximum creativity and factual precision, with government's absolute ONLY hand in it being to pay the teachers, no matter how much one or more politicians disagree with (-insert name of teacher here-). In healthcare, I support having doctors and their patients being the ONLY people with any say in the patient's appointments and in who decides how much the patient pays, with every citizen (including the doctors themselves) having health insurance issued by physicians who know what they're doing and how medical matters work.

The Jihad's attacks on New York City, on Boston, and on its own citizens

Let me clear off right off the bat: I laugh at people who say a non-interventionist foreign policy would have prevented the Boston bombing. Or, in my head I do. Because the opposite is true: the attackers of 9/11 and the attackers of Boston Marathon are the same kind of people: genocidal Islamic-Theocratic guerrilla movements who want as much as Ba'ath Party established armies and Islamic Theocracy established armies do to destroy us just for being a mix of different cultures. It's hard to swallow, but its the truth. I can barely remember his name, but the Boston Bomber was sponsored by an Egyptian group called the "Muslim Brotherhood", a sectarian group that even refuses to listen to Liberal & Libertarian Muslims' voices, for that "brotherhood" only wants to hear from Totalitarian Muslims (there is a difference that I place infinite importance on between the extremist and moderate). I will not bring up 9/11 in this blog, or at least not frequently, for there is nothing I can say about it that has not already been said. Additionally, Boston was the more recent atrocity by the Jihad.

Furthermore, I cannot stand people who pretend we "don't have any business" in the Third World, where Dictators torture, mutilate, starve and execute mass numbers of innocents of all three genders (male, female, hermaphrodite) and of all six age groups (baby, child, teen, young adult, middle-aged, elderly) out of sadistic and paranoid excuses! How can that not be of anyone's concern? If anything, Dictators need to be deposed and trialed for crimes against humanity. And this does not automatically mean using military force. For example, the case of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt is an example of only needing Diplomatic Negotiations to revoke a Tyrant's power. Sometimes Liberal Internationalism can be done through peaceable humanitarian aid, internationalism does not always advocate war! See, not all tyrants are so vile as to absolutely need death, instead there are some who can be effectively deterred by long-time jailing sentence or by other disciplinary means....

What this means I am...

This means I am not a super-Christian war-monger but I am also not a peace-worshiping hippie drunkard. I am pretty much a Middle Ground person.
